Christmas Recap

We spent Christmas Eve in Logan. We started the day off with some basketball.
The kids had a blast running around.
Then back to the house for all the festivities.
Weston was a wise man with his other two cousins. They looked so adorable.
Then we pig out!!

Wes had fun hanging out with his cousins.
My very favorite part of the evening is the traditional pinata! Weston didn't quite get it, but he had fun being outside and of course eating all the candy afterwards.
The whole pinata clan. (except for most of the younger kids went in, it was so stinking cold)
We always have our neighbors over to do this with us too. It's so fun.
We headed back to SLC late Christmas Eve and spent the morning at home. I had Weston open one gift before going to church. I don't think he really appreciated it too much, but I gave him this picture of Christ to put in his room.
My boys all ready for church.
After church we opened presents. Weston got a train set and a cool car. He especially loved his train set.

We headed to Fillmore in the afternoon. It was so fun to spend time with the Emmett family.

Once again, an awesome Christmas!

2 Years

My baby boy turned 2 today! The above picture was taken a couple months ago, but I couldn't get him to sit still for a picture today, he is so busy. I'm getting some professional 2 years done soon, so I'll post those on here next.

It is so fun to watch Wes grow and learn new things. This is what he is up to these days.
Starting to talk a lot more.
He loves his teddy bear and includes him in everything he does.
Starting to show interest in going potty. (And puts teddy on the potty of course.)
Learning to count, although the numbers aren't very clear.
Will give all his stuffed animals kisses, but his mommy and daddy, no way!
Favorite shows: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Lion King.
Fascinated with trains and trucks.
Likes to throw balls and has quite the arm for a little 2 year old!
Loves to run.
Is not afraid to tell anyone "NO!"
Will say "Thank you" and "Please"
Loves his chocolate milk, especially after he wakes up from his nap.
Sleeps from 8:30 p.m to 8:30 a.m.
Awesome sleeper at night but has a hard time going down for his nap lately:(
Tells mommy where to put things. Favorite phrase is "Right there!"
Has the cutest little giggle.
Loves nursery and being around other kids.
We love this little guy!

I was looking through pictures today of Wes as a baby and this one made me laugh. It is totally a Weston face, he still makes it frequently.
I can't believe how much he has changed.
Happy Birthday Weston!

Teddy and Elmo

Lately Weston will not hold still for a diaper change. I have to wrestle him 90% of the time.
I kind of want to potty train him soon for this very reason.
I'm sick of wrestling.

But...if Elmo and Teddy get their diapers changed too he will hold completely still.
This has been the only thing that works, but I have to change three dang diapers every time.
I think potty training will be happening soon.

Now that's talent

Oh this boy and his binkie.
I only allow him to have it for nap and bedtime. The other day he found where
I placed two binkies and came to show me his trick while giggling mischievously.
Little stinker.

Testosterone Wins

Oh yeah...I'm pregnant! Someone needs to give me a good kick in the pants for not keeping up with this blog. Now I have so much catching up to do. I am suppose to be writing a talk for Sunday but I am procrastinating and blogging instead. Maybe if I had important things like a Sunday talk to procrastinate then I would blog a lot more:)

Last week we found out that we will be adding another little BOY to our family in May. We are so excited. I had a feeling early on that this one would be a boy. I am happy for Weston because he will have a brother close in age and a little buddy to hang out with. I am excited to decorate their room (they will be sharing for a while) covered in blue, trucks, and all things "boy."

As far as the pregnancy goes, I was so lucky to only have mild morning sickness and fatigue that went away after the first trimester. With Weston I was not sick at all and didn't even feel pregnant. I am lucky my body has taken both pregnancies so well because I know it can be so much worse.

At the moment it is hard to imagine loving another little guy as much as I love Wes, but I am sure when I meet him, I will love them both so much. I can't wait for him to get here!

"Elp me!"

This morning I was in the laundry room when I heard "elp me! elp me!" I went into the room Wes was playing in to find him not there anymore.  I thought it was odd since I just heard him so I continued to search the basement. No Weston. I ran upstairs calling his name, beginning to be a little worried that something fell on him or he was tangled up in something. After not finding him upstairs I ran back to the same room and heard a muffled "elp me" and realized it was coming from his little toybox. I opened it to find this!
Poor little guy climbed in there, shut the door, and couldn't get it back open. He was laughing/crying at the same time. I think he thought he was funny but that it really scared him too.
I don't think he'll be climbing in there again...or maybe he will. Next time I'll know where to look!

Thanksgiving happened

I'm a little late with this post but Thanksgiving came and went and we had a great time.
We spent the weekend with the Emmett's in Fillmore. These two ladies are the best cooks ever:)
It was fun to see Jeff again.
A good majority of Thanksgiving day consisted of playing with Jeff and Kyle's old Legos. I think Kyle and Jeff had more fun with them than anyone. Weston loved them too though.
Then we went over to grandpa Turners and saw the horses.
Weston was not thrilled, and little scared of them.
And what would a trip to Fillmore be without shooting stuff...
Go JhoBrea, go JhoBrea...
Taking a walk with great grandpa.
All in all, a really fun Thanksgiving!
