Family Update

Weston- He will be one month old in just a few days! We took him to the doctor a few days ago after two evenings of hours and hours (seems like an eternity) of crying and not being able to really comfort him. I thought for sure he was sick, or had a cold or something. Turns out he was just fine and healthy, but has a little "colic" the doctor says. They think he has acid reflux so they gave us some medicine for it. Doesn't seem to be helping yet, hopefully soon. Poor little guy seems like he has gas though all the time and that it's painful :( I've already cut out all dairy, chocolate, and gassy, spicy foods, and any thing else I could think of that might hurt him, from my diet. I'd hate it if my milk were causing the problem. So I'll try some gas relief medicine too. It's a little frustrating, but he is doing well otherwise and cute as can be. We just love him so much. Oh yeah, and he was 8 lbs 8 oz at his doctors appointment, growing like a weed!

I went up to Logan for a few days. My parents are so awesome, they volunteered to wake up and feed him at night so I could get some sleep. Wonderful! I'm feeling a little sleep deprived even though I only wake up twice to feed him, I guess I have a really hard time functioning without my straight 8 hours :) I'm seriously such a wimp! He is completely worth it though and here are some recent pictures of Weston and of his stay at grandma Krogh's.

I love it when he goes cross-eyed.

He loves his little play gym.

This is the first time I put him on his tummy and he actually enjoyed it and didn't start freaking out.

Hanging out on grandma and grandpas couch.

He wore his cute moose pajamas the grandparents gave him for Christmas, they are my favorite.

I think he is starting look more like Kyle. What do you think?

Two Weeks

I can't believe Weston has already been with us for two weeks. He has been so much fun, he is such a sweet baby. I think I'll keep him:) This is what we've learned about our little guy so far.

He is stinking cute. I just stare at him all day long. He is finally starting to open his eyes a little more and keeps them open for longer periods of time.

He likes to sleep on his side.

He is a wiggle worm. He hates to be swaddled and has to have his arms free. He is strong and already kicks off his blanket. This is what I found the other day, not sure how he got the blanket all over the place like that.
When he is really out cold, he sleeps with his mouth wide open. It's cute.

He loves taking naps with Daddy.

Bath time is a very traumatic experience for him.

He gives some pretty good "crusty" looks that make me laugh.

He has lots of people that love him. My mom came and stayed for a few days to help out and so I can learn from the pro. I am so grateful for her help, she is amazing. Thanks Mom!

Kyle's family came to visit too. My mother in-law gave us some frozen meals and chicken noodle soup. She was so sweet and helpful. Thank you grandma Emmett!

Weston's Birthday

Weston came to earth on Jan. 5th, @ 1:58 a.m. and he is so perfect. Rather than go into the details of the birth story, I will just say it hurt, it was long, frustrating, exhausting, never felt anything like it, but it was SO WORTH IT. We love him more than we could have ever imagined. Here are some pictures of his big day.
