We had a visitor

Last week I was able to play mommy of two little boys. I watched my nephew, Will, while my sister went to visit Hungary for a couple weeks. (so jealous of that.) Anyway, I watched him for a few days then went to Logan to babysit him there  have my mom help me with both of the boys.
It's not easy watching two little toddlers, they are sure busy! We had so much fun though, and Wes was happy to have a constant playmate.
Hanging out with grandma Krogh. (Both obviously too busy to look at the camera.)
Bath Time. I think Will really enjoys his bath time, can you tell much? He is so cute,
we loved having him.

I know, I know,

I haven't posted in a decade. At least it feels that long. I'm such a slacker. We are alive and so busy lately! We have been renovating our kitchen and the end is in sight so I will post more about that soon.  It's been quite the project and we just want it to be over with. We originally just wanted to get new countertops, then it turned into re-doing the walls, banister, new windows, molding, cabinet hardware, and some extra painting, and staining. O boy, I deserve the biggest ice cream sundae after all this work, and maybe a day at the spa.

In the meantime (before I eat my sundae), I found this cool blog on eating greener. I've gone through spurts trying to cut out processed foods and cook with more veggies etc.  I don't want to be a hard -core vegan or anything, I just like to try and eat healthy and cook better meals. This website has some great vegan recipes I'm excited to try and stick with it.

Kyle is doing great. He got a promotion at work and is liking it. Weston spent the weekend at his grandparents house and was spoiled rotten while we worked on the kitchen. We just wanted to get it done so that other weekends we can spend as a family and not worry about it anymore. Remodeling is not ideal with a curious, active little toddler running around. He had so much fun with his grandma and grandpa Emmett and his aunt Amy.

Well, that's my update. I realize this post has zero pictures so the next one will be doubly loaded with pictures, promise. That is if anyone even cares or reads my blog.

Why play with toys,

when you can sit on them instead?
(He toppled right over seconds after taking this picture, cried, then tried to get back in. This kid is hilarious.)

The two W's

Weston has become pretty good buddies with his cousin Will lately. The "two W's" we like to call them. I couldn't get a good picture of them both looking at the camera, but this is a cute one of them watching a little B Einstein together.
Love them.

More Weston

Weston played with playdough for the first time today. He was more interested in putting the lids on the containers and the play-dough in his mouth, but he had fun and was entertained for a good half hour.

His new thing lately is trying to stand on his head.
Silly.
This is the only picture I really have where you can see his chipped tooth from slipping in the bathtub a couple months ago:( It was so sad, but I think the little chip is kinda cute!)
His other new thing is to run to the farthest corner of the house when I try to change his clothes.
I guess he just likes to be naked.
Stinker.

Face Smooching

This is what happens when I try to take a pic of all three of us.
It was a good sixth or seventh failed attempt to get Weston to look at the camera.
I love my little family.

Ducks and Icecream Cone

We spent last weekend in Logan. I love going home. My mom's cooking is delicious and my parents always make us feel so welcome and we always have fun. They volunteered to watch Wes while Kyle and I went on a date to the Bluebird and a movie Friday night.
On Saturday we decided to get rid of a bag of rolls that had gone stale and feed the ducks at first dam.
We bundled up and had a great time. )
Here is the duck feeding crew. Some interesting faces in this one...cute though:)
Weston kept his distance most of the time until the ducks went back in the water. He followed them and was a bit frustrated when I wouldn't let him go swimming with them.
I can hardly ever get a good smile out of this boy when taking his picture. He is smiling and as soon as I pull the camera out he pulls the 'worried deer in headlight look.'
And the best part of the trip, at least for Weston, is that he tried his very first ice cream cone.
Of course he loved it, who doesn't love ice cream?
