4 Months Old

Wes turned 4 months a week ago, but we had his 4 months doctor's appointment today. Everything looks great and he is healthy as can be. I was a little surprised that his weight was only in the 40 percentile, he seemed like he was way heavier than that, but of course I don't have any other babies to compare him to! He must have a really good metabolism cuz he eats like a champ. He is still very tall, up in the 90 percentile and his head is up there:), in the 75 percentile. We love our little guy. This is what he's been up to:

* He loves to check out his environment. First thing in the morning his head is everywhere checking everything out in whatever room he is in. He is very observant and curious, especially when he is in a new place.
* He smiles so much now and gets so excited when you talk fast, stick your tongue out, or sing to him. He thinks it's so funny. He loves to watch people talk.
* He is a strong little guy. He loves to stand on your lap or sit with assistance. He doesn't love to lay down as much.
* He isn't a huge fan of "tummy time" all the sudden. He holds his head up great, but he gets super frustrated cuz he can't move.
* He hasn't rolled over yet, but he's getting close!
* He can grab toys and things (especially my hair)
* He discovered his feet and likes to hold them both while laying down. He attempts to reach them to his mouth but hasn't gotten them there quite yet:)
* He's sleeping well, about 8 hr stretches a night. He also likes to sleep on his side with his legs in an 'L' shape, it's so weird, it
makes us laugh.
* He's not so great with napping.
* He loves his binkie.
* He is getting so handsome and his personality is showing more and more everyday.


We love him so much, Happy 4 months Weston!

Weston's Photo Shoot

We went to Fillmore and St. George this past weekend and had a great time in the sun. It was Weston's first trip to the park so we took some cute pictures of him.

So I pretty much love this...

I saw this on Oprah the other day (yes, I watch Oprah on occasion, don't judge me.) Can someone tell me how come I never heard of the 'Canadian Tenors' before? Amazing. I'm a fan now. And I absolutely adore this song. I especially love Oprah's little surprise bringing Celine Dione on stage (and yes I also LOVE Celine Dion.:)

The Latest

We've had a pretty fun week and Weston has been growing right before our eyes.
One of his latest learned skills is holding his head up high on his tummy and looking around.

He's also starting to sit in this little chair and he does awesome in it! He has always liked to sit up so I knew he would like it.

He likes to watch me cook in the kitchen.

Aunt Susan came for a visit with her adorable son Luke.

Last but not least, Kyle has been making some pretty cool things for our house.....I'll reveal them when they are complete so stay tuned :) He is so talented.

Weston's Blessing Day

I've been such a slacker on blogging and I completely forgot to blog about Weston's blessing day that happened over a month ago. Weston was blessed on March 7th, 2010 by his Dad, it was a beautiful blessing. I was afraid Wes would cry and fuss through the whole thing but he slept like a rock. A lot of family came to see him, we definitely had a full house. I think I was so busy with the whole day that I forgot to take a lot of pictures but here is one of Wes on his day. His outfit was handed down to him and it was a little short and looked like more like capris, but I thought it was so cute anyway.

I stole this picture from Kyle's parent's house. (Thanks!) I think Kyle is close to Weston's age at his blessing in this picture. I think they look a lot a like!

Easter Weekend

We spent Easter with the Emmett's this year. Weston got spoiled rotten of course by his grandma and grandpa. We had fun painting eggs and hanging out!

Weston is 3 months

Well, Weston is three months I can't believe how fast he is growing. He is smiling so much now and loves to watch peoples mouths while they talk. He likes to watch me around the room and see what I am doing. He loves it when I stick my tongue out at him, he thinks it is so funny. He has been trying to find his thumb as of late, but he prefers putting his whole fist in his mouth for now.
Poor little guy has a little cold currently so he is gifting us with some more than usual, stronger smelling diapers, and a little less sleep at night. Hopefully he will go back to sleeping 8 hrs again. He sleeps really well at night, but his naps, well that is a different story. He is such a little cat napper, he never takes longer than 30-40 minute nap. I'm hoping that he will grow out of this and take longer naps? dunno. We went on our first walk last week in his jogging stroller and I went running with him the other day. He loves it, but he falls right asleep minutes after we put him in:) It's so fun to watch him grow and change everyday, we sure love him
Weston likes sitting in his toy box. Okay, he really doesn't but his mom likes putting him in them and taking pictures just for the fun of it, and to see his reaction......he was not amused.
