Pretty sure that is what he is thinking here. We've started working on our yard a lot recently. Thanks to my dad and his mad landscaping skills, it's going to look great. Weston has been enjoying the torn up yard with all the dirt piles and rocks and holes to climb in and out of. He has been a great helper.

Baby Shower and Parade
My little sister is having a baby girl in July! It's her first so we threw her a family shower. My sister-in-law is so creative and did all the decorations, I wish I had her talent for making cute things. I was still feeling pretty crummy from the crazy tonsil situation but I was happy to see most of my family and some cousins I haven't seen in a while.
Me and the mommy -to- be.
The next day we went the the Smithfield Parade. Wes loved it once he realized that they were actually throwing candy off the floats. He waved to everything that passed us, he was so cute.
Oh. Please ignore the fact that I look like death in these pictures. This is my cute nephew Nate.
Wes tried his first popsicle at my parents house. It was messy.

Tonsil Woes
Two days later I felt worse and didn't feel like the anti-biotics were working. I was so hungry and thirsty. My dad came down to take care of me and took me in again where they gave me more meds through an I.V. and this time a steriod which helped clear things up a bit so at least I could swallow. I felt a little better, I even went to Logan to my sister's baby shower 'cuz I didn't want to miss it although I felt crummy. I was even able to eat small pieces of food. I thought I was cured until Monday I was in so much pain and I felt like there was a ball in my throat and and knife cutting through my ear. I tried to distract myself from the pain all day, I even blogged!! That night I went to the ER 'cuz I couldn't stand the pain and discomfort any longer. Long story short, I had an big abbsess in my throat they had to drain out of my tonsils. It was not pleasant.
I'm feeling SO much better, it made a huge difference after they took it out. The cut is sore, but all I know is that I am going to get Cafe Rio as soon as I can eat real solids. That is all I want. Cafe Rio Salad. Not eating hardly anything for six days makes a person very cranky and irritable. Ask my husband.

Logan Trip
The weekend before Easter Wes and I went to Logan to visit family and see my little sister who was visiting from Oregon. We went to a really cool park in Logan that I had no idea existed. (probably 'cuz I never had kids when I lived in Logan.) It's huge and had all sorts of things to climb and play on. Weston had a blast. I took some cute pictures of him and attempted to edit them. I think they turned out pretty good.
Weston is lucky to have boy cousins close to his age.
The boys playing in the sand.
Sisters! Did I mention that three of my four sisters are pregnant? Yep, three babies are going to arrive in the month of July, one boy, and two girls. Looks like Wes will get have some new cousins. I'm so excited to meet them all.
Back at grandma and grandpa's. Eating dirt. Yum. I'm sure he got a good 1/3 cup in his mouth before I caught him in the act.

Easter Weekend
We spent most of Easter weekend in Filmore this year. Kyle took thursday and friday off and we headed down and spent most of the day playing outside and enjoying the sunshine.
Weston loves grandma and grandpa's red toy car.
He didn't so much love the big four-wheeler. Are you sure this is Kyle's son? Maybe next year he will be more fond of it.
We love Weston, but we decided to ditch him with the grandparents and take a much needed getaway to St. George. Friday night we went out to eat and then Saturday we went on a big long hike. I love hiking! It was beautiful and so refreshing.
That night we went to the St. George arts festival. We have gone to it for the past three years so we have decided to make it a tradition. I bought a cool butter dish and ran into some friends I haven't seen in a while.
We came back to Filmore Sunday morning. Grandma Emmett made this awesome quilt for Wes.
He loves it.
Back at home. (sorry these pics are bad, my good camera was dead.) Growing up the easter bunny always hid our easter baskets somewhere in our house. We would spend all day looking for them and they were usually hidden pretty well and sometimes in some unusual places:) I loved this tradition and want to keep it going in my own family. Lucky for Wes, his was easy to find behind his closet door:)
