A couple weeks ago Weston made a new "imaginary monkey friend". He is always asking where monkey is and spends a lot of time "looking for him." We never find him, but he is always somewhere like out in the snow, or in a certain store, closet, car, under his crib, or elsewhere. I thought it a little strange for him to have an imaginary friend so young but I looked it up and it's pretty normal. It's developmentally a way for him to practice his communication. He is always saying everything about monkey. "Where's monkey?, Is he in there/here?, he's working, he's at the store, he's finding bananas, monkey went bye-bye, give monkey this, let's find him! His language has exploded the past few weeks! He is awfully concerned about monkeys well-being and his whereabouts. He asked me with his cute concerned look if monkey was okay several times today. It's so funny. I love this little boy. I've read this is very common for a "first child" too. It will be nice for him to have a little brother to talk to soon:)

haha what a cute kid!
Perhaps Monkey ran off with Kipperd our missing orange cat. :) No wonder Wes and Tayia play well together.
