Finally Some Sunshine!

I love summertime. I try and enjoy it to it's fullest because it's only here for a couple months. We've been spending a lot of time outside lately. Weston loves to sit in the grass and look around. He loves his fluffy soccer ball and it makes him super hyper.
He played in his little blow up pool for the first time the other day. (I know it's bright pink. It was the only one that size I wanted and it was on a super sale...so I got it. He won't know the difference...)Anyway, he wasn't all that excited about sitting in the pool for now. He was more interested in touching the blanket outside of the pool than splashing around.
Totally looks like a mini-Kyle here.

We are hoping for lots more sunshine!

Things that I love...

Well today is just one of those days I need to force myself to think about the positive things in life. Ever have those days? Usually it comes somewhat naturally, but today, I just feel kind of "blah." and "down." So here we go...

I LOVE...

dusting off my guitar and playing a song or two.

soccer.

going on long walks.

Happy 13th Amy!

My sister in law had a birthday yesterday. She is a teenager now, but not your typical teenager. She is the sweetest, smartest 13 year old I have ever met. Amy came up to Salt Lake with her parents and grandpa Turner . Aunt Jill also came over. It was a fun little party.

For those of you who don't know Amy, well let me tell you, she is.....

Super Smart. I'm always hearing about her 4.0 GPA's.
She loves her family, especially her nephew.
She loves the color PINK.
She rides a four-wheeler like a CHAMP.
She is sensitive.
She loves to be outside, jump on the tramp, ride bikes, go for walks, four-wheel, or go up the canyon.
She'll play YAHTZEE with me for as long as I want. (I'm a nerd, I love that game.)
She loves to play the Wii, computer games, or any game!
She is always willing to help.
She is always up for an adventure.
She looks up to her big brothers.
She is BEAUTIFUL.
She picks her friends wisely and is a friend to everyone.

We love you Amy. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Look Who's Sitting

Weston learned to sit up by himself this past week! Now he loves to sit and hates being on his back.
His new favorite thing is to sit on our bench with Kyle and I and look out the front window. I swear he could just stare outside for hours and hours. It always calms him down if he is fussy. He loves to watch the cars pass by.


He is also obsessed with this water bottle. I don't know why but he just lights up every time he sees it and studies it so carefully.


What a cutie. He is growing so fast.

Missing Logan...

I never thought I'd miss living in Logan as much as I do. My mom sent me these beautiful pictures the other week so I could frame them and put them in my living room. So pretty. It's not that I hate Salt Lake, I'm just really not a fan. Plus, there are okay places to run outside but lately I miss my old quiet running trails (without the noise and nearby traffic sounds), and all the pretty places to go for a jog/walks. And they were all close by. Legacy Parkway is fun to run on but I usually want Kyle to go with me for fear of getting raped and/or killed. Getting him to come with me is somewhat of a struggle to say the least.

I usually end up just running on the treadmill at the super busy gym, which although I don't absolutely hate like some people do, it does get a little boring sometimes. Speaking of which, I need a new workout music mix. Any suggestions?
Blah, well you live where you gotta live I guess:)

5 Months Old

*has the most adorable smile EVER (maybe I'm bias, but really, it's the best:)
*eyes are turning more greenish
*is teething
*can roll over really well from tummy to back. trying to figure out the other way but his arm is in the way:)
*sits up for about 30 seconds unassisted but then topples over. he's getting there.
*LOVES his binkie a lot. can't live without it. this may come to haunt me when he's two and we need to take it away. we'll hope for a smooth weaning.
* is fascinated with things, plants, colors, objects in a room. he's very observant.
* good around people. especially new people and new faces.
*loves his grandparents. (they spoil him:)
* still sleeps about 8-10 hr stretches a night. lately it's been a little less due to teething I think.
* falls alseep on his own most of the time which is awesome. sometimes he needs a little help though.
* not so excited about being in his carseat anymore.
* LOVES his daddy. he always smiles when he sees him or hears his voice.
* is happy the majority of the time.
*still loves to stand on his legs and look around.
*growing so fast!

Another Year Older

So....this is somewhat belated. Kyle turned 27 on Monday, Memorial Day. I made him a cake and we ordered pizza and just had a little party with our little family. We went on a cruise the week before so we counted that as more of his "birthday celebration" (Pictures and post coming about that soon:) Happy Birthday Kyle!

The Bumbo Chair

Weston has sort of a love/hate relationship with the bumbo chair.
Loves it sometimes....


Doesn't so much love it other times....

I on the other hand love the bumbo chair. What would we ever do without it?! He is such a little silly in it though. Every time he gets in he spreads his arms out and leaves them there most of the time like he doesn't know what to do with his arms or where to put them. He does this when he is laying on his back too.

Maybe he is trying to be superman?


He cracks me up.
